Mintt ("Mintt", "we", "us") is a technology company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. We operate the Mintt AI lead generation platform at mintt.ca.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information from Business Clients (you)

• Name, email address, phone number, business name
• Billing information (processed securely by our payment processor — we do not store card numbers)
• Login credentials (passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text)
• Usage data — how you use the Mintt dashboard

2.2 Information from Your Website Visitors (end users)

When your website visitors interact with your Mintt chat agent, we may collect on your behalf:

• Name, email address, and phone number (voluntarily provided by the visitor)
• Chat messages and conversation history
• Photos or files uploaded during the conversation
• IP address and browser/device type (for security and analytics)

You, as the business client, are the data controller for your visitors' information. Mintt processes this data on your behalf as a data processor.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on servers located in Canada. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
• Encrypted password storage (bcrypt hashing)
• Two-factor authentication for dashboard access
• Access controls limiting who can view client data
• Regular security reviews and updates

No data is stored outside of Canada without your explicit consent.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers: Payment processors, email delivery services, and hosting providers — bound by confidentiality agreements
• AI providers: Conversation data is processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic's data processing terms apply. No personally identifiable information is included in AI training.
• Law enforcement: When required by a valid legal order or to protect the safety of our users

6. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request that inaccurate information be corrected
• Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw consent to certain uses of your data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Complaint: File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

7. Cookies and Tracking

Our platform uses cookies and similar technologies for:

• Session management (keeping you logged in)
• Security (preventing unauthorized access)
• Analytics (understanding how the platform is used — anonymized)

The Mintt chat widget on client websites does not set third-party tracking cookies. It uses session storage only for the duration of the chat conversation.

8. Data Retention

• Lead data is retained for as long as your account is active
• Upon account cancellation, data is retained for 30 days then permanently deleted (unless you request earlier deletion)
• Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by Canadian tax law
• Chat logs older than 12 months may be archived or deleted at our discretion

9. Children's Privacy

The Mintt platform is designed for business use only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we discover that personal information from a minor has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the platform at least 30 days before they take effect. The date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of this page.
